Amperage Marketing Proposals were discussed. The current Wix web page costs $217 a year ($16/month). Terry Lindell has paid for the domain through 2018. Direct Mail postcards were discussed as well as the web site proposal. Someone would have to be in charge of the direct mail campaign. Mackamul volunteered to get quotes from other companies for a web page development comparison.
Robinson made the motion to postpone the Amperage Marketing Proposal vote until comparisons could be made. Hoodjer made the second. All approved.
New Business: Hoodjer volunteered to line up 3 lesson plans for school groups going through the museum. He will send emails to the social study teachers in April/May. The new teaching standard includes Iowa History. Then he will follow-up the emails at the beginning of August.
Iowa Museum Grants might be a possibility to look into for funding the program. Mackamul told the board also about a preservation grant that might work for the engineering study.
Library Displays will be discussed at the next meeting to see if the society should be doing them again this year.
The next meeting will be held February 13th at 7PM at Drenkow’s office. Motion to adjourn at 8:05 PM by Hoffman. Seconded by Blanchard. Motion carried.
