Corporal Thomas E. Woods
Corporal Thomas E. Woods was born on August 8, 1896, in Oelwein, Iowa. He entered the United States Army on May 10, 1918, at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, where he served during World War I. During his service, he attained the rank of Corporal.
Corporal Woods was wounded in action and ultimately gave his life in service to his country, dying on December 11, 1918, in France.
He is laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Sumner, Iowa.
