Albrecht Room

The C. J. Albrecht wing features the Bremer County native's equipment, relics and taxidermy from his career as a world-renowned naturalist and explorer.  Albrecht worked with many museums over the years, later becoming a respected director of the acclaimed Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.   During his career, Albrecht led expeditions to the Arctic, Siberia and Ethiopia, among others.  He and his family built this addition to the museum, and donated all the items on display, collected during his long and impressive career.

The Albrecht room is currently closed as we renovate display cases.  The room is available to pass through for those needing to use the ramp to come and go.  We are sorry for any inconvenience.
